IM 6.7.6.6 Mac OSX Snow Leopard.

I don't know if this has been reported already, but converting an RGB image to CMYK and separating channels shows the black channel to be in color.

convert mandril.jpg -colorspace CMYK -separate miff:- | convert -delay 50 - -loop 0 mandril_cmyk_anim.gif

We can reproduce the problem you posted and have a patch. Look for it in ImageMagick 6.7.6-7 Beta by sometime tomorrow. Thanks.
