Thank you ImageMagick for saving me from a lot of tedious work.
My company just finished a 1 year construction project. Prior to the project beginning we placed 2 webcams at different angles of the build site. The cameras were set to record a photo every minute. Now it's my job to turn that into a time lapse.
The problem was that I didn't want the video to go dark at night. With roughly 750,000 photos to go through, I wanted an easy way to remove the dark ones... ImageMagik to the rescue. A batch command using the (identify -format [mean]) command, I was able to find the mean brightness of each photo and delete it if it was below a certain level.
